Born and raised in Ottawa, Robert laid the foundation for a successful career in business law by obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honours) from Carleton University in 1983. He was awarded his law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1986 and was called to the Bar in 1988. Deeply committed to professional development, Robert has continued his education since being called to the Bar, intent on improving his skills in the service of his clients.

Robert is also an experienced estate planner who provides business-succession and liquidity, trust and multiple-will implementation services for moderate and high net-worth individuals. His guidance is sought regularly by medical and dental professionals who plan to incorporate.
Productive and pragmatic, Robert is unwavering when it comes to identifying, addressing and resolving problems to help speed clients to their objectives.
He is a devoted family man, avid golfer and dedicated cyclist. He is also a co-founder and co-director of the National Capital Leadership Challenge. This partnership brings together the expertise of the Sprott School of Business, the Telfer School of Management, the School of Business at Algonquin College and various local businesses to develop the next generation of business leaders.
