A New Brunswick native, Louise graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1980. She completed her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983, and was called to the bar in 1985. She has lived in Ottawa since 1984.
Louise represents clients in the purchase and sale of real estate, including mortgages and the refinancing of properties for the consolidation of debts. She also assists clients with their applications for severances and minor variances. As well, Louise represents and advises clients in the preparation of offers to purchase, for the purchaser of real estate who is not represented by a real estate agent. When no real estate agent is involved, Louise will guide a client thought the legal process of purchasing or selling a home or condo.
A trusted and capable advisor, Louise's forte is to take the time necessary to understand her clients’ needs when she meets with them. She believes a thorough review of the client’s options is a necessary component of the solicitor-client relationship. Louise regularly advises clients of their estate planning options, including the use of such tools as insurance trusts and Henson trusts in their wills, to meet specific requirements.
